...The day after we returned from Arkansas I headed to Cedar Creek Lake for our annual ladies' retreat with my favorite gals from our church group. Then it was time to celebrate Jared's birthday and then Grey and I headed on a mommy-daughter trip to see "Grandma" (my dad) in Indiana. It worked out perfectly because Aunt Minny had also just moved back there!
We were ready to rock.
This girl is quite the traveling pro! She's done several road trips and two trips requiring flights this year.
Breezed through security!
Pre flight snacks & selfies.
My traveling must is GUMMIES. I'm training her right.
Sour face.
She lives the tough life.
We were starving after our flight. So Big Boy it was.
Meanwhile these two went swimming at Papa and Chacha's.
Grey got to meet and play with her step-cousins. Her and sweet Jace were tow peas in a pod.
I enjoyed my favorites: reading and Indiana summers.
We took walks and swam. And this girl skinny dipped. Because you can do that when your 5.
Bonfires until the mosquitoes were too much to handle.
And the highlight for this gal (and me too), catching fireflies!!
She also had her first bowling experience.
Aunt Minny love.
We ate Coney Island (my Indiana MUST) and Grey finally got Yummi Bunni's which Aunt Minny had been telling her all about for weeks.
She's very good at selfies.
Uncle Rob bought her a fancy dress.
Meanwhile, sisters went to their "first" Rangers game (that wasn't in a stroller/Suite).
Then it was goodby pictures and time to head home in time for the twin's birthdays. We had the best time with Grandpa and Aunt Minny. An Indiana summer was just what my heart needed, and introducing Grey to some of my favorites was so fun. We both needed some one-on-one time and she loved every second of the attention and spoiling she received by everyone there.
We've already decided this needs to be a yearly tradition.
