I am THAT Mom...Week 2...

...Week 2 was just as much fun as week 1! We are getting to know you better every day. We are learning all about parenthood and enjoying every moment...including those 3am feedings...because we know they don't last forever! Everyone warned us about all the 'bad' things about babies, all the things you lose when you have a child...but we truly love being your mommy and daddy and feel like we've gained the biggest blessing of our life. Here are a few weekly highlights and pictures of your life at 2 weeks!

• You had your 2 week appt. You grew an inch (19 3/4in- 24th percentile), gained an entire pound (6 lbs 15 ounces- 21st percentile), and your now 43rd percentile for head size! Your mommy is so proud of you and couldn't be happier that nursing is working for us!
• Since you are gaining, we are letting you sleep as long as you want at night...so far you are up to 4 hours stretches!
• Mommy has made 3 cups of coffee this week. And not drank any of them. It's crazy how busy an almost 7 pounder keeps me!
• We took a trip to GiGis to visit this week & also went to Target (your favorite store-just like mommy).
• Mommy left you alone for 30 min. with GiGi while she went to pick up lunch. It was really hard to leave you for the first time...even though I just went down the street!
• You had some pretty poopy diapers and about 40 minutes after changing one I found your poop under my finger nail...welcome to more mommy moments! 
• You used your swing and Boppy Lounger for the first time. You're a little spoiled, and prefer to be held, but your getting used to these things too!
• You like to be held upright after feeding or you get fussy. 
• You also started doing some tummy time. You don't mind it at all, but you prefer to lift your head while laying on me, not on the mat. 
• We also started reading this week. Your mommy loves books and we hope to instill this love in you as early as possible!
• We also enjoyed the lovely weather and went on 3 walks!
• You had lots of visitors again- everyone loves you and says how beautiful you are. Of course, even though I think people are obligated to say this, it's really true in your case. You ARE BEAUTIFUL!
