Hazel and Scarlett,
It is crazy to think that you are now closer to a year old than you are to your birth. This time with you is just zooming by. As always, this month has been my favorite yet! Your really starting to let your personalities shine through! It is so fun getting to know you and watch you learn and grow. I forgot how much babies change each month.
Our prayer for you both is that God is already drawing you to Him and that one day you will know his unfailing love. You are our little blessings and God has made you ever so perfectly.
XOXO-
Mommy and Daddy (and Grey too)
- Size 1 diapers (2 at night), size 0-3 clothes
- We have a follow-up flu shot next week, so I'll come back and share your weights then!
- You have both discovered your feet this month, are grabbing and playing with toys, chewing on anything and everything, roll around like crazy, give us giggles and shrieks, and are getting so much stronger with your core and head control! You both think your big sister hung the moon (we kind of think so too:) ) and you will watch her every move.
- Scarlett: Weight: Scarletta Gene, you, my dear, have found your voice. You LOVE to scream. It is the shrillest, most high pitched sound, oh my! You will scream if you can't get a toy that you want, you will scream if you've been laying too long, you scream if you get tired and want to go to bed...basically anytime your the slightest bit displeased. It's rather humorous! While you are just one of the happiest babies ever, you do seem to be the more serious twin. It takes a little more to get laughs and smiles from you! You also will
playchew very intently on a toy for an extended period of time. You also love your feet the most. When I get you up from a nap or sleep you can tell you have been sucking on them because your jammies are wet! - Hazel: Weight: Hazel Pie, you are still just our smiler and talker. You never stop smiling, it seems. You talk and coo and blow bubbles. Scarlett is rubbing off on you though, because you've let out a few of your own screams! You seem to be a little more laid back and chill than Lett. And you are very into what everyone else is doing- you love looking around an observing. You also like to take any toy that Scarlett is playing with. You're quite the instigator. And a cute one at that.
- Schedule: Rise and shine at 7! You start to stir a little before and will talk and play with your feet and pacis. (You don't suck on them, but will chew on them.) I usually get you up btw. 7-7:15 and we take meds (still on prevacid), change your diapers and eat, then play. Then around 8:30 you go back to sleep. You wake at 9:30/10 then we repeat: eat, play, sleep. You eat again between 12:30/1, then 3:30/4, then one last time around 6. You don't really nap after 3:30, but may take a quick cat nap (10-20min). We do bath every other night at that time.
- You take 4.5-5 ounces of pumped breast milk at each feed.
- Solids: We have started solids!!! We started slow and are still just having fun and practicing. Your tongue thrust is pretty much gone now and there hasn't been anything you haven't liked so far! We tried: sweet potato, butternut squash, green beans, carrots, bananas, and avocados. The avocados were a little too chunky, so you didn't like that texture, but liked the flavor!
Hazel you were so chill and just laid there why I took your 7 month pics!
You were a little to mesmerized by the camera to smile.
Your arm rolls. Goodness.
I love Scarlett's face here!
Hazel was doing lots of talking here and Scarlett was fascinated!
