What I Want To Say and Can't

My kids sometimes ask me..."Mrs. Granberry, how long does it have to be??" ...I want to tell them what my high school coach/world geography coach used to say when we asked that question..."Like a girl's skirt. Long enough that it covers everything, but short enough so it's still interesting."...I don't think third graders would quite appreciate that.

Also in case you missed it...I was out for a teacher leader training last week and when I returned I was greeted by two of my students asking me if I saw a UFO last night...because they did! Uh huh...
