...This Easter was so much fun! I had no idea what Grey would think of Easter Egg hunts, or church service, or her birthday! It was a big weekend! The weather was beautiful on Saturday, so we attended our friend's parents 1st annual Easter egg hunt! They live out on a beautiful piece of land and had set up a "carnival" type party. It was so cute and engaging for all the kids. When it came time to hunt eggs, Grey observed and we showed her what to do. From then on, she was all into hunting eggs- with an occasional stop to check and see what was inside them. It was just precious to watch.
We then went home for naps before church. Grey loves going to church and every Sunday morning we ask her if she is ready to to go learn about Jesus and play with her friends? She always says, "yes!" Now, with her blooming vocabulary, she says "Go church!" We were going to keep her in service with us because we thought she would enjoy the music, but ended up taking her to the nursery right before it started because she was already distracting us and others- ha! Worship was beautiful and we even had Big Daddy Weave come to sing with our worship band. It took your breath away to hear him sing Redeemed live. My eyes were certainly not dry reflecting on what my Savior has done on the cross. For me. For You.
After service, we headed straight to the in-laws for more Easter egg hunting...for the little ones and the big ones. The adult Easter Egg hunt might be one of my favorite traditions- it's super competitive and not to be taken lightly- wine, gift cards, household needs, are all part of the take home loot! Grey had a blast with her cousins and family.
We continued Easter on Sunday with brunch and mixed in our big girl's 2nd birthday celebration! I cannot believe next year we'll be celebrating Easter with 3 littles!
