...We had the busiest and best spring break. I'm still not sure we are recovered. I always feel like getting back in the swing of school after spring break is SO hard. The weather is warmer, you get a full week of sleeping in and staying up late, and summer is now just constantly on your mind. We are definitely counting down to the last day of school!!
We started break by sending out Grey's birthday invites! She is super excited for her gymnastics party!
After that was done, we loaded up and headed to Papa Bob and Gigi's house for an extra long weekend. We arrived Friday evening and headed home Tuesday afternoon.
Gigi's house is a win-win for everyone. The girls have all the fun playing. Mommy enjoys having someone else make her coffee (Gigi) and fix her a cocktail each night at happy hour (Papa Bob)! It's like a great vacation every time.
Waiting on Daddy to get in the car!
3 Girls watching tv and eating snacks with their Papa Bob.
We had one especially nice day while we were there and we took total advantage! We walked/rode down the street, explored, and Grey built a bridge over a big puddle.
When mommy's short arms can squeeze everyone in for a selfie, we're winning!
Possibly my favorite all-time pic of Hazel Pie!
Oh, and did I mention this little man and his momma joined the fun!? I got all the best snuggles and Garrett got to see what it's like to hang out with a house full of girls. Poor guy, he doesn't stand a chance around these ladies.
Also, it turns out Little Lett and I both have a newfound love of salt and pepper pistachios. However, she makes me shell all of hers.
Daddy took this big girl on a date while we were there. They headed into downtown Hot Springs for more adventures.
While they were out, we were busy watching for deer.
Too bad she had no fun.
Watching Moana before we headed home. Holding hands always makes movie watching better.
When we got home, we had a full day of errands. Including getting some passport photos for the little pretties. I still laugh every time I look at Grey's. I told them you are not supposed to smile in passport photos and this girl took it to a whole new level. #mugshot
We also had to order a birthday cake, so we decided eating a cookie while there was a good idea.
Sequins dresses are totally appropriate for running errands, right?
#pickyourbattles
I cleaned out my spice cabinet...
...And put the girls to work cleaning baseboards.
After a day of errands and a splash of spring cleaning, we were ready to go to the airport and pick up Grandma (aka Grandpa) and Kathy!
Then on Friday we all headed to the farm together after a yummy brunch at our favorite place.
Why use a whole bed when you can sleep RIGHTNEXT to your sister?
We took rides, checked out dead snakes, took walks, played and played, and smoked great meat all weekend long. We were so happy to be able to spend time with Grandpa and Kathy!
Gathering firewood for our nightly fires.
Being a farm girl is hard work and naps are totally necessary.
Look who joined us for another weekend!!! She's my fave.
A princess and her snake.
Goodness, that was a lot of pictures! But that's just because we had a lot of fun. :)
And then it was Monday again.
43 more days of school until summer...
