...
- Still in size 3 diapers and mostly 12-18 month clothes- some 9 month pants.
- New found love = CEREAL! You cannot get enough, throw a fit if we don't let you eat it, and make the biggest milky mess trying to get it all in your mouth. Towards the end of the bowl, you give up on the spoon and just use your hands to scoop it in.
- You are working hard at learning to spell your name. You definitely know G. and recognize all 4 letters...we're working on putting it all together.
- Once again, I can't do a monthly update without noting your absolute adoration for babies. You've been surrounded by them this month as we've been to many Life Group events (where there has been a serious baby boom). You make sure they have toys, pat them, kiss them, point to them and say baby, and sometimes just sit right next to them and stare. It's so sweet to see you act like a little mommy. Hopefully this will come in handy someday soon at our house! :)
- Your schedule hasn't changed at all. Bed between 7/7:30, wake at 6:30 on weekdays, 7:30 on weekends, one nap between 12/1 and lasting for 2-3 hours.
- You are talking up a storm, mostly unintelligible sentences, and lots of single decipherable words. It is SO crazy watching your language acquisition. There are words we repeat and try to pound into you brain that you can't yet pronounce, or just WON'T say, and then you suddenly come out with a word I feel like we've hardly touched on...like "mermaid" this week.
- You love watching Nemo. We've moved on form Frozen and you beg for "Memo".
- At bedtime, we pray, read a few books, and now when we're done you say "momma, momma" indicating you want me to hug/hold you instead of putting you in your crib. Which I gladly do. I can't get enough cuddles during the day because you are on the move. So I soak in every moment of our evenings together, when you let me stare at your sweet little face, tickle your cheeks, and give you fishy kisses. And then out of nowhere, you'll start singing "Go...." and hold our your arms (Let it Go). You're sweet and silly and God made you perfect in every way.
- "Our lives are made
In these small hours
These little wonders,
These twists & turns of fate
Time falls away,
But these small hours,
These small hours still remain." -Rob Thomas
