...Here are your monthly highlights and pictures Grey girl...
- Wearing size 3 diapers & 12 month clothes (with a few 9 month and 18 month thrown in)!
- Every night we read 2-4 books before bed, but always end with Goodnight Moon. You LOVE finding the little mouse in each picture and will loudly say "mouse!" and point to it. You also love the movie, Ratatouille, because you think it's filled with mice. You definitely have a thing for mice and daddy thinks you need a mouse for a pet. Mommy says no.
- Christmas favorites: You got lots of great gifts for Christmas, I'd say your favorites were Chi Chi the chihuahua, your Bitty Baby, bath crayons, your own cleaning supplies, and the velcro food you can cut apart. It's so fun watching you play!
- Your first 2 words strung together were "bye bye dada". Then about two weeks later you started to say bye bye _____ (Tutu, Gigi). We're working on putting more words together.
- We say prayers and hold hands before we eat and every night before bed. You now just hold out your hands are are ready to pray. You still look at us while praying and sometimes give out kisses in the middle. Our favorite part is when you end with your very own, "Mamen!"
- One of your favorite past times has been opening and closing doors! It's all fun and games until you slam your finger inthem
- You love to help with chores. Unloading the dishwasher, scrubbing the counters, laundry, putting things in the trash. It's so sweet.
- You are counting! Or at least mimicking counting. You say the words one, two, and three (kind of) and point to each thing.
- You also recognize the letter 'g'. You know that your name starts with G-r. Well, you probably don't know that your name starts with G-r, but we are constantly practicing your name and recognizing the letters that you know just say G and R together. You also recognize the letter 'O'.
- When you wake up in the morning you go through our house roll call: Mama, dada, Nana (Nala), and sometimes you through in a Gigi and Papa for good measure. It's too cute!
- You are going to bed between 7-7:30 and waking at 6:30 on the weekdays and 7-7:30 on the weekends. You take one nap, going down between 12-1:30 and sleeping for 2-3 hours.
You LOVE to brush your teeth and carry around your toothbrush and toothpaste...future dentist?
Making Elmo all better.
Your
whiny face. This was a couple days before you figured out how to open
the door. Now you just go open anything you want. But your favorite is
the pantry where you say "eat".
Toddler bellies are my absolute favorite. Skinny little legs with big ol' bellies. One of life's simple joys!
Bedtime stories.
Cuddling up at Tutu's.
Killing time before going to the nursery at church.
You LOVE to color. You probably spend 50% of all your play coloring.
This face. Still makes my heart skip a beat every morning. We're so lucky we got you!
You are definitely the queen mess maker!
You loved sorting all the presents, stacking and restacking.
You've wanted to get on the potty a couple of times. But then you just want down. Progress.
So,
on this wagon ride, you were wearing an outfit by daddy. Leg warmers,
white shorts, slippers, mittens and a coat. You refused to wear your
reindeer hat, but kept your bow in.
Overjoyed to be riding in the passenger's seat!
Christmas decor at Gigi's.
3rd annual Mother Daughter tea party. Missing Gigi in our pic!
More coloring.
Christmas at ChaCha and Papa's.
Learning new tricks from your cousin.
Your new favorite: Chi Chi the Chihuahua. She likes you more than your real Chihuahua.
Your obsession with babies continues! You point them out everywhere we go and in everything you see (movie, book, ad, etc.)
You
did so well on NYE will the 14+ kids and their parents at your house!
You loved playing and watching your friends and babies, and didn't mind
them sharing your toys!
Hanging with Daddy and Cooper.
You finally decided to try a chip. You loved it, of course, and then started to dip it in the guacamole like a big girl.
On a side note, mommy had an impromptu dinner date with the HS girls
this night, no husbands, lots of babies and we made it through the whole
dinner with no tears and even were able to have a conversation! That's a
present day miracle if I ever heard of one! :)
Cheesing with daddy at lunch after church.

Can we talk for a minute about what a doll your little lady is? I mean...seriously. Those cheeks!
Also, can I request a post (or even just a text message..haha) of where you're shopping for her? Because I want most of her clothes in big girl size...and because my little lady needs all the headbands!
She is getting so big! She's so smart! I love that they want to help with with everything at this age! Landry won't let us read to her! We play wkth letters and numbers, but she won't sit and let us ready. When her grandmother comes to visit that's a different story. She sits and listens to books then. What's the secret?
