Love, Love, Love, Love, Love...

...Tomorrow is Valentines. My favorite part of this holiday is the cute little decorations and conversation hearts. When we were little and living in Indiana, my grandma threw us a Valentine's Day party every year with ALL things red and pink. It is one of my favorite memories. We don't have big plans for this year, we are about to go to a wedding reception tonight, and tomorrow my mom is making a big meal for her "sweethearts", so we will head to Flower Mound. There are so many things in this life that I LOVE...my husband, mom, sisters, in-laws, niece, nephew, amazing friends, books, music, coffee, water, sushi, storms, summer, football, fall, jeans, shoes, hot baths...I could go on and on...

Since Valentine's does carry a romantic connotation with it...and because a husband and wife should always strive for some level of romance in their marriage...here are some husband and wife thoughts (not my own)...

Here is a link to a blog reminding us why God created man and wife.

And here are lyrics to a song by Warren Barfield from the movie Fireproof that I think hold a beautiful message this day in age (I sound so old)...

"Love is not a place
To come and go as we please
It's a house we enter in
Then commit to never leave

So lock the door behind you
Throw away the key
We'll work it out together
Let it bring us to our knees

Love is a shelter in a raging storm
Love is peace in the middle of a war
And if we try to leave, may God send angels to guard the door
No, love is not a fight but it's something worth fighting for

To some, love is a word
That they can fall into
But when they're falling out
Keeping that word is hard to do

Love will come to save us
If we'll only call
He will ask nothing from us
But demand we give our all

I will fight for you
Would you fight for me?
It's worth fighting for"
