Well, let's start by saying that anyone who knows Jared knows that we celebrate his birthday for at least an entire week! Jared started calling it his "Mardi Gras" this year. Somehow we managed to take it down to just 3 days though. We began celebrating on Wednesday night (the day before his "actual" birthday) at Glorias with Mark and Charla (his parents) where they sang to him and gave him flan. After dinner we walked down The Harbor to Blue Canyon where Shane Osborn just proposed to his now fiance, Ashley. We then celebrated with the Osborns, Ashley's family, and a few other friends until about midnight. We are so excited for them! I am particularly excited b/c FINALLY one of Jared's friends is getting married! Plus I really like Ashley, which is important b/c (if you don't know already) the Osborns and the Granberrys are a packaged deal and pretty much spend holidays and any other extra time together!:) Okay...so back to Jared's birthday...Thursday Jared worked from home and I made him his favorite chicken dip and sopapilla cheesecake (a request from Evan). I also gave him Rock Band for the PS3 (thanks to Pat for bringing that into our lives). He then went golfing with his dad, and Charla and I met them at the DAC after for dinner after their game. When we got home we picked up Pat and went to Forney to catch the midnight showing of Dark Knight. It was excellent, besides the fact that all of Forney high school was there and Pat's comment about hitting on a high schooler "as long as no one knew about it". We didn't get home until about 3:30, so Jared took Friday off and we laid around all day and then that night we ate dinner at Blue Canyon with Mark and Charla, the Osborns, my Mom and Bob, Evan, and Pat. Big Dave was so kind as to bring a handle of crown as Jared's birthday gift, which pretty much disappeared by the end of dinner. Apparently we were a fun bunch b/c the wait staff wanted us to hang out with them when they got off...which we didn't...b/c we had to come home and play rock band. See pictures of Friday night below. So that was Jared's 3 day birthday...although it's Sunday and we still haven't seen Grandma Gene, so there might be more celebrating to come!:) Happy 26th to my hot husband!:)
