2 Years and Counting...+4 Months...

...Goodness gracious, I can't believe I'm  actually able to sit down and type your monthly update! We have been juggling a lot with the birth of your baby sisters, but I am determined to continue documenting you (and sisters' too) lives.

This past month has been one of my favorite yet. You are talking and repeating EVERYTHING. It is so fun!

  •  Still in size 4 diapers, size 18-24/2T clothes, size 5 shoes
  • Your schedule has been a little crazy with our lazy summer schedule, and then even crazier after sisters were born on July 24th. Thankfully we have Gigi staying with us for a while and she has gotten you more consistent.
  • You are singing! It is the CUTEST, most precious sound I have ever heard, albeit off key, ha! Like mommy, like daughter. You sing the ABC's and any song from the soundtrack of Book of Life, which has also been your favorite movie this month- along with Home and Ice Age. You also sing, "clean up, clean up, everybody, everywhere..."
  • We have watched way more "gagoos" (cartoons) this summer than I ever imagined I would allow. Being pregnant with twins wiped me of energy, and now we are in survival mode with the NICU. I know we will watch many more as we entertain you and feed babies! You are NOT a princess girl. You prefer any and every movie but those with princesses.
  • You are obsessed with Little Critters. You say, "I play critters" a million times a day! Your baby sisters have the perfect gift for you!
  • Your sisters came 7 weeks early, and you have yet to meet them because you're not allowed in the NICU. But you talk about them often and know their names. You were a little skittish of mommy pumping, and said my boobs have boo boos a lot at first. Now you say they make milk, ha! You have adjusted rather well to mommy and daddy going back and forth between home and the hospital. You are a little whiny, needy, and clingy when we are home, but that is to be expected and we are trying to be completely present with you while we're here. Your Gigi is a God send and there is no way we could function without her and the help of Papa and Chacha too!
  • You're becoming more independent and will tell us to "go" so you can play by yourself. You like taking the stairs by yourself and are taking charge of getting in and out of the bathtub on your own, as well as, picking out your clothes and taking them on/off too.
  • You think you can do your carseat on your own, and it's been a source of a couple meltdowns. Not fun in the 100 degree Texas heat, when I really just want to strap you in and get the AC going!
  • You haven't spent much time in time out this month- yay!
  • We are really working on saying no thank you, instead of just "no!" A word you've started to rely a little too heavily on!
  • You love birthday parties...because you know you get cake, ha!
Being silly!
You were such a trooper going to mommy's twice weekly dr. appts.
 Make-up for you!
We went to the library for your first story time.
This make-up kept you entertained for about 4 whole days.
 Watching "Gagoos"
 Oh no...
 Critters all day long!
We watched baby Calvin one morning and you were so sad when he left. You cried, "baby Calvin" all the way home.
 Hot mess express.
 Seriously, Critters. All.Day.Long.
 First Popsicle.
 2nd Haircut.
Hanging at the hospital with mom!
With "all my cousins". Payne is your absolute favorite- you follow him everywhere.
 Happy girl with Gigi!
 Swimming at Finnley's birthday party.
Wearing mommy's dress. Gigi can never leave, your hair always looks so good! :)
