One Year and Counting...Month 18...

...I'm a little behind in posting your 18 month update, Grey. Life is busy, but I will never quite documenting your life! Here are your highlights and pictures:

  • 19 lbs 10 oz (13th percentile), 22nd percentile for height, and 84th for head.
  • size 3 diapers
  • 9-12 mo. clothes
  • We moved you from the high chair to the booster seat! Woo hoo!
  • You still suck your index finger. ALL.THE.TIME. It's still super cute, but I know soon enough we're going to have to break you of that...eek!
  • You got Hand Foot Mouth disease this month. You got it from the little boy, Owen, you stay with. It was very sad and NO fun. You were sick for about 5 days, and the sores in your mouth were the worst. This happened at the beginning of your 18th month and you still have a little scab left over from one of the sores on your foot.
  • The other day you put my shoe on me and took my hand and led me to the living room. It's safe to say you know what you want.
  • New Words: bubye (bye-bye), gagoo (cartoons), tikin (chicken), ChaCha, Papa, you now say uh-uh for up, cakr (cracker), wawa (water), caca (cowboys {it's clearly football season...and I agree, Grey, the Cowboys are caca})
  • Words: dor-du (Georgia), dank (thank you), ck-qua (cracker), Didi (Gigi), Tutu,  nana (banana), ol (owl), bah (bottle), baw (ball), bubus(bubbles), uh-oh, boo, bo (book), boo (boo-boo), deesh (for any object you points to), peesjh (please), mama, dada, da (dog), sooz (shoe),  da (down), du (up), oooo, ak (icky), Nala.
  • You love to give hugs. Real hugs. You wrap your arms around us and squeeze. My heart could explode just thinking about it.
  • You L.O.V.E music and you love to dance. Taylor Swift's Shake It Off is your favorite, but you like anything on the Pandora station "Kidz Bop". You also like when mommy and daddy sing.  We sing the ABCs and Father Abraham to you a lot. Whenever we finish a song, you ask for more. If the music stops or pauses for a commercial, you stop what you're doing and ask for more. The funniest thing I've seen is when we were listening to Let it Go and you held your arms out like Elsa. You, Grey, are the greatest.
  • You have thrown a few fits this month, but you're a little less sassy than month 17.
  • We are trying to break you of stepping on your toys and throwing them. Not sure why you do this. Sometimes you think it's funny, but we want you to learn to take care of your toys.
  • You're doing much better at repeating things when we ask you. You're still probably a little slow with your speech, but you understand pretty much everything we say and can communicate what you want. We love to ask you questions because you almost always respond with "yea" right now.
  • You constantly look for Na-na (Nala).
  • You know that we hold hands when we pray, so you hold out your hands when we ask you to pray now. You look back and forth at us as we pray and then try to say amen when we're done.
  • Other things you love: playing in mommy's bathroom and closet, opening and closing everything (doors, bottles, etc.), helping with laundry, cleaning (you take any material- towel, blanket, dryer sheet) and will rub little spots on furniture and the ground), playing outside (especially in the water), Ritz crackers at church (you follow the workers around saying mo "more"), babies (real ones and dolls)
  • Dislikes: diaper changes, having to get out of the bath
At our favorite Saturday morning breakfast place.
Sitting all alone on the couch. Such a big girl.
Way blurry, but you were rocking the high heels.
Not sure you fit. But this face!
Sick. Milk, lovely giraffe, and Frozen.
You have an obsession with these diaper genie rings. They're one of your favorite things to play with.

Park fun with your friend, Finnley.

Selfie.
Sick again.
First milkshake...you earned it with your HFM mouth sores.
The best part of your cousin's football game = snow cone from ChaCha.

This provided a good 10 minutes of entertainment.

Proof of your love of babies. You are all up in their stuff! And it's so sweet!

Halloween preview. You HATED this on your head. Should make for some fun pictures come Oct. 31st!

Dinner after swim lessons. You hate hats or anything on your head, EXCEPT for this robe. :)
We walked all around the square and you tried every seat. You did not want mommy to sit next to you and even pushed me away on the bench. My-oh-my, Miss Independent.
Zoo fun! Your second trip. The first time you liked watching your friends, this time you liked the animals!

Meeting baby Hudson. You love his daddy, David,  and always flirt with him, which is what your doing here.
